Join me in New Orleans to talk Agvocacy

bayer agvocacy forumBelieve it or not, even though I grew up just one state over, I’ve never made a trip to New Orleans. Today, that changes as I’m traveling East and South to the 2016 AgVocacy Forum, hosted by Bayer. Formerly Ag Issues Forum, this meeting is focused to dive deep into the most critical challenges to food, agriculture and consumer needs.

As part of Bayer’s blogger program, I’ll be giving you a special look at this program along with an opportunity to speak with a few of great speakers on the meeting’s program. These speakers cover a diverse number of topics in the world of food and agriculture advocacy, including innovation in our industry, insights into consumer trends and global views of what farmers and ranchers are dealing with today.

Everything kicks off at 5:00 p.m. Central today (Tuesday, March 1) and continues through Wednesday morning. You can follow the event live online at AgVocacyForum.com or follow Bayer Crop Science on Twitter and Instagram.

Be sure to follow my social media accounts throughout the event for notes from speakers and panelists at the meeting. We’ll be using the #AgVocate hashtag online and you can follow me on Twitter and Instagram as @AgProudRyan. Be sure to let me know if you have questions throughout the day as I plan on catching up with a few speakers for podcast interviews following the AgVocacy Forum.

There should be a ton of farmers in New Orleans this week with Commodity Classic taking place as well! It should be a great time, so be sure and stay tuned to see who I run into during the trip.

I am a member of the Bayer Crop Science blogger program, and travel and expenses associated with this experience was covered by Bayer. My blog post was not a requirement of the program, and the opinions of this post are completely my own.
